Creating a Ripple Effect - January 2025

Hope

This year, nearly 10,000 encounters with God’s Word were made possible through BBT resources.

"It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it." Isaiah 55:11(NLT).

The workplace, the largest mission field in the world, is being transformed. Thank you for helping people feel empowered to integrate their faith and work!

While every story with BBT is unique...

  • John Knicely uses the relevant materials to discuss real workplace challenges with peers in his group.
  • Paresh Halder empowers and equips 100 leaders in Christian minority areas in four countries in South Asia.
  • AJ Chrest and her group created community and relied on one another through difficult workplace transitions.

they are all examples of faith in action. Because of you, BBT is creating a ripple effect of hope and truth, equipping leaders worldwide to integrate Biblical principles at work. Discover more impactful stories here. Together, we are expanding God’s Kingdom, one Bible study at a time.

Truth

BBT curriculum is a cornerstone resource of the organization. It remains free to all users thanks to the generosity of countless contributors. Beyond financial support, this unique resource is shaped by the time, talent, and dedication of many individuals. The original BBT curriculum was written by two of the founders of BBT as they studied the book of James. At a pivotal moment, a book from a friend, David Steward, inspired the next phase of the curriculum, shaping its trademarked format and further inspiring the formation of this non-profit organization.

Over the years, BBT has been fortunate to collaborate with other influential writers like

  • Richard Blackaby
  • Matthew Kelly
  • Rick Pina
  • Allen Hunt
  • Greg Holder
  • Dale Kreienkamp and
  • Christianity Today

who have generously allowed their material to be adapted into BBT’s trademarked 1-2-3 format.

Now, with more than three years of weekly study material, the organization continues to connect with new resource partners for adaptations and create more BBT original content. Check out all the samples here.

Community

This year's BBT Community Connections kicked off with a vision boarding session with Adrian Bracy. From Uganda to California BBTers joined together to pray, learn and encourage one another.

Did you miss it? If so, there is a recording here and Adrian will be a guest on the Faith for Work podcast. Stay Tuned!
A couple of takeaways for you:

  • Vision boarding can be a faith-filled practice to help you align your goals with God's will.
  • If you are a follower of Jesus, think of it as prayers in visual form and a declaration of your faith.

These Community Connections are a way for you to join the larger movement of Christians around the globe who are learning and applying their faith to work.

Next month, Amy Narishkin will discuss her area of expertise - Cultural Intelligence - as a continuation of her podcast episode. Listen to the podcast and then join us on Thursday, February 20 at 12pm CST to hear more. Register Today!
